Steak Wrap
Total time: 20 minutes (Preparation: 10 minutes + Cooking: 10 minutes)
Serves: 2
Quick lunch that can be ready in five minutes. The trick is to have simple ingredients, prepared in advance. The steak can be cooked rare or medium-rare ahead of time and heated in the microwave.
Steak Wrap recipe
Ingredients
Beef eye fillet: 1 fillet (~200 g) (you can substitute with roast chicken)
Wraps: 2
Coleslaw: 2 handfuls (you can substitute with lettuce)
Avocado: 1/2 avocado, sliced
Tabasco or other sauces
Method
Pre-cook the eye fillet. My preference is to have it rare or medium-rare, but less cooked than if you were to eat it straight away.
If the steak is prepared in advance, you can heat up the steak in the microwave for 45 seconds so that it's warm, but not over cooked.
Cut up the steak and the avocado.
Place all of the ingredients onto a wrap and fold up. I typically like to use half an eye fillet steak and 1/4 of an avocado.
