Pickled Cucumber recipe
Ingredients
Cucumber: Half a continental cucumber, finely sliced
Salt: 1/2 teaspoon
Sugar: 4 teaspoons
White vinegar: 2 tablespoons
Water: 4 tablespoons
Dill (fresh): 4 teaspoons, finely sliced
Method
Sterilise a jar and lid by boiling them in a pot. Ensure that the lid is off. Carefully remove from the water and leave to cool
Finely slice the cucumber and place in a clean jar.
Heat the remaining ingredients in a saucepan until the sugar dissolves and add to the cucumber.
Allow to cool and then place in the fridge for at least 2 hours.
